The contractor that built the home is Evans Construction is well known on the North side of the island as one of he premier home builders. The quality of the construction and materials is unsurpassed by any other contractor. The designer Kaihaku Chung is also well known for his unique designs of island homes throughout the area. Together they have created a masterpiece that will impress anyone that visits this estate. The home is built to withstand the elements 40' from the shoreline. The home has 8 circular 10' windows facing the ocean which gives you a panoramic view of the shoreline and Pacific Ocean. From every room the views are breathtaking. Every room has vaulted ceilings and built in lighting to give then a unique island feel and the comfort of a truly luxurious home. The home has two commercial central air-conditioners along with fans in almost all of the living areas along with spacious rooms for the comfort of its guests.

The entrance to the 4.2 acre estate is just off the Kamehameha Highway, a main road that runs along the coast of Oahu. The wide sweeping entrance and wall surrounding three sides of the property is built with a beautiful 6' lava wall. The entrance has a large double gate that gives the occupants a lot of privacy. As you drive on to the property you see an abundance of coconut trees and other Hawaiian vegetation backed up by the beautiful Pacific Ocean. As you drive through the property you will see wild birds grazing on the beautiful green grass that grows throughout the property. You feel like you are entering another world that is as close to paradise as you will get in this life time.

The home is built with a traditional island style roof with the lines going in several directions. The multiple levels of the roof and home itself gives it a friendly island feel. Surrounding the home is a large number of coconut trees and other vegetation. The home fits into its surroundings and accentuates the property.

As you drive up to the home you will see six 20' pillars supporting a large drive through overhang. These pillars are built with lava rock starting with a wide base at the bottom and narrowing at the top, a style used to construct the island plantation homes years ago. This front entrance roof is built with Tiger Wood, a hard wood that is not only beautiful but withstands the elements. Antique lighting hangs from the 20' high ceiling and match the two large antique lights on each side of the double door entrance. The overhang around the home that protrudes from the roof extends around the home and has recessed lighting every 8' to caste shadows on the outside walls at night. The siding of the home is finished with lava rock to about 3' high to match the surroundings and give it a solid base.

The steps going up to the front door are built of rock that extends into the entrance of the home. The custom built 10 panel double glass front entry doors let you see through the Grand Room all the way to the Pacific Ocean. As you step into the home you will be taken back by the Grand Room that is 30' by 50' in size and has a 20' vaulted ceiling with 6 sky lights and six hanging antique chandeliers. At the far side of the Grand Room are 8 huge 10' windows set in an arch overlooking the beach and beautiful surf breaking just off the shoreline. This room can seat up to 80 people for gatherings and with the dining room can seat up to 80 for dinner. The entrance is made of stone that steps down onto the Maplewood floor in the Grand Room. To the right is the massive dining room with a custom built table that seats up to 16 people. To the left of the Grand Room are carved double doors that step up to the Den. The Grand Room is perfect for entertaining large gatherings.

The Dining room is large with a vaulted ceiling and faces the ocean through large glass French doors. The ocean is only 45' away. The flooring is maple wood and the 8' x 12' dining room table is hand-made to match its surroundings. On the side of the dining room is a large custom built hutch that houses the dishes, silverware and glasses that will be used for serving the guests. To the left of the hutch is a step down into the kitchen with 8' custom built swinging mahogany doors. The vaulted kitchen with a stone floor is a step down from the dining room and has large windows throughout that overlook the ocean. It also has large French doors that open out to the ocean and a side door that opens to the grassy area next to the home. To the left is a breakfast nook that seats 8 people. In the middle is an island with a 5 burner gas stove, stone counter top with and a bar for seating up to 5. Behind the island is a built in double oven and microwave, GEs Profile Series. The custom cabinets are made of Maplewood and countertops with Blue Pearl Granite. The refrigerator/freezer has 28' of storage space with an outside water and ice maker. The double sink and faucet are set into the granite counter and above it is a window facing the coconut trees and grassy area next to the home. The window opens up to the outside to easily serve your guests. Outside the kitchen is a lanai for relaxing or entertaining with the ocean a few feet away. A large BBQ is available for cooking your favorite dish. The area is accentuated with gas tiki torches that top off the island feel. The family room has large vaulted ceilings and massive glass doors that open to the outside. The built in surround sound system is operated by a loaded CD holder. The room is also equipped with two multi-speed Hawaiian fans for air circulation. Built in recessed and directional lighting can brighten the room for ping pong or be dimmed for a different mood and entertaining. There is a large custom built book case with local artifacts, books to read and games to play. This room has carpet and. a fold down couch for additional guests. The family room bathroom has a full custom built tile shower and this bathroom connects to the laundry room with a high capacity energy efficient front load washer and dryer. This bathroom has a stone floor and also opens out to the outside for those that will come in from the beach.

The Den is vaulted and has large French doors that open out to the ocean. The beach is 40' away with mature coconut trees swaying between the doors and the ocean. The floor is a dark solid Tiger Wood that fits into the island environment. The ceiling has a fan and custom lighting. The bed is a California King Size that faces the ocean through the French sliding doors. Just outside the French doors is a Lanai for relaxing and enjoying the sounds and sights of the ocean. The den also has a desk, computer and cable for TV or Internet wireless connections.

The master bedroom entrance from the home has custom carved double doors that open into a vaulted room with solid hardwood floors. There are two sets of large French glass doors opening to the outside. One opens into a private garden area and the other opens to the ocean 40' away. Windows are all around and they put you in the middle of nature. The custom California King size bed sits in the middle of the room overlooking the ocean 45' away. You can lay in bed and watch the surf from the Pacific ocean and sunrises that are unforgettable. The smell and sound of the ocean is relaxing and exhilarating at the same time. This room has custom lighting, two island style ceiling fans and two skylights above to see the stars at night. The ceiling has built in Bose speakers for surround sound. There is a large vaulted walk in closet with a custom built dresser, shelves and plenty of room for hanging cloths.

The master bathroom has a smoked glass door that opens into another world. With two sky lights above, stone floor, rock/tile walls, granite vanity and hanging plants it gives you a tropical island feel. The shower has rock steps to enter and stone tile throughout. It has three shower heads to give you and your friends the best shower of your lives. The rock and tile 8 person spa is huge with rock steps and a jet pump that delivers water and air for the best massage possible. The custom lighting is recessed in the ceiling and hangs above the vanity. The vanity has two exposed glass bowls for sinks along with brass fixtures and custom built cabinets. The bathroom has Bose ceiling speakers to enjoy music while showering and using the spa.

A long hallway that lights up when you enter and go off when you leave will lead back to four spacious bedrooms with vaulted ceilings. They all have closets that have double doors and have built in custom drawers and shelving. There are two hanging spaces in each of the bedroom closets. The bedrooms have built in recessed lighting and an island fan in the middle. The bedrooms have 2.5' x 7' glass windows with views of the ocean, mountains and beautiful property grounds. Two of the bedrooms have their own entry into two separate bathrooms that have custom cabinets, floors, walls and sinks. One of the bathrooms has a Jacuzzi spa. One bedroom has double French doors that open out to the ocean and the others have their private entrance at the end of the hall. All of these rooms have carpet for a warm comfortable feel.

The outside grounds have a park like feel with coconut trees and other Hawaiian vegetation everywhere. The properties ocean shoreline is 400' and lined with coconut trees and other island vegetation. The beach and reefs along the property shoreline is perfect for sunbathing, fishing, snorkeling/scuba diving, body boarding surfing or just wading for small children. There is another 1 mile of white beach adjacent to the property that is great for runs, walks or just enjoying the scenery.
